East Tec Eraser 2006 features two major options to make you fell completely safe online and offline. First, there is the Privacy Guard: basic and advanced.
The basic section automatically configures your protections levels and acts for enforcing your security. The advanced section allows you to select your applications that can eventually disclose personal data: Windows (application logs, recently used files, alternate data streams, etc), browsers (history, cookies, cache, etc), P@P software (logs, completed or incomplete downloads), news and email clients (deleted, sent items, etc.) or you can erase applications' registry entries.
The Data Eraser allows you to destroy files in the Recycle Bin beyond recovery and eliminate deleted data on local drives. Erasing options include wiping of free disk space, wiping of slack of existing files, scrambling of delete files' properties, scrambling of system transactions' log file. Among the wiping methods we may mention quick wiping or one of the several algorithms of choice.


Pluses: You get an extra option when right clicking your Recycle Bin icon on the desktop which allows you to quickly and directly erase all files beyond recovery. Depending on how busy you are, you can set the erasing process to low, normal, high or realtime priority, where "low" means less usage of system resources and "realtime" - maximum usage of system resources.
We tested the program by erasing all the files in the Recycle Bin and we tried to recover them using "Recover My Files 3.94", but there were no files to be recovered.

Drawbacks / flaws: Opera email client is not included in the email erasure options.

In conclusion: We may say that once destroyed with East Tec Eraser 2006, all files are gone forever, so help us God. An excellent solution for safeguarding information both for individual users and corporate users.
